Markcopy user review

Markcopy sign-up is slickUI with a team setup focus (add team name and project members to invite) and takes you straight into a user tutorial about the step by steps to make a AI powered blog post, through entering a topic and generating a Title, an Introduction, and an article outline to build out with AI powered paragraphs.

You’re ready to go in a couple of minutes.

Markcopy have a range of templates – 25+ – like create a Full blog post, a Product description which are the ones I will use. The templates are grouped under Ads, Blog, E-commerce, Social Media, Real Estate, Email, Copywriting, and General Writing.

Not as many templates as other platforms but hits across most of the common use cases.

SEO

Markcopy has a built in SEO ranking for the content that is created, marking it out of 100.
Rank goes up once you enter in simple things like a title and primary keywords, but its not performing much in the way of actual improvement – integration with SEO research tool would do that, or the user would have done this task separately.

Using the Full Blog post feature to create content is a breeze. The interface is great – layout usable and the interface is fast to transition between pages and tasks – the best in recent memory.

The creation process is structured step by step. Enter a topic and Generate title options, Use the Title to generate Outline options and an introduction. Then use the Outline points to create paragraphs.

All great. Except. Except that the generated AI content options aren’t very good.

Its subjective I know, but the AI generated content was poor quality compared to the other AI writing tools, to the point where it was annoying. I do not expect an AI writer to go into great depth but I felt that Markcopy didn’t get beyond producing filler copy.

Have a read of the content below and compare it to say, the previous CopyLime review.

I assumed that the AI content writer applications were using the same (GPT-3?) or one of a couple of different AI engines. How they deploy that technology seems to matter.

This seems to be a critical flaw for MarkCopy. The addons like the Plagiarism detector, the saving creations and sharing it with a team and the fast slick interface get high marks – probably the best I’ve seen.

But if the copy is not usable, (and for me, its not), then its all hat and no cattle.

If that wasn’t a nail in the coffin the $49 a month pricing is the highest I have reviewed to date.

Have a read below – and this writing is selecting what I believe are the best generated writing options presented.

How to source and integrate offshore talent to solve the biggest challenges of companies

Using the Markcopy Full blog post template, produced:

How to source and integrate offshore talent to solve the biggest challenges of companies

The rise of the digital economy has created a global marketplace where companies and consumers are connecting from every corner of the world. Global talent platforms like Freelancer.com and Upwork have contributed to this new era by providing a platform for businesses to source talent and workers who are willing to work from anywhere in the world.

1. The need for offshoring

The need for offshoring is evident, and there are several reasons behind it. By offshoring, you can significantly reduce your production costs. This is beneficial if you want to sell your products or services at a lower price than your competitors. But offshoring also has drawbacks. For instance, you have to spend more time and money to find qualified employees, who are willing to work overseas.

2. The challenges of offshoring

Offshoring is a practice that has been used extensively by companies around the world in recent years. The goal of offshoring is to send certain business process abroad with the purpose of reducing costs and increasing productivity. Offshoring can be applied to a variety of business processes, from customer service to product development. However, there are many challenges associated with offshoring. It is vital for any company considering offshoring to have a realistic assessment of the benefits and risks involved.

3. How to source and integrate offshore talent

In a globalized world, it is increasingly important to find talent overseas. After all, the most expensive employees are often the ones right in front of you. The cost of living in developed countries is quite high. In some cases, it can cost more to hire someone in the U.S. or Europe than to hire someone in India or China. It’s not always easy to integrate people from other countries. But if you do it correctly, there are many advantages.

4. How to choose an outsourcing partner

Outsourcing means delegating the work and it is becoming increasingly popular with businesses of all sizes. It has many advantages, including reducing overhead and boosting productivity. Outsourcing also brings various challenges, especially when it comes to choosing an outsourcing partner. That’s why you need to consider 3 factors before choosing one.

Markcopy article creation process

To me it sounds like 365 words of fluff. And comparing that to the previous Copylime review which produced 1250 words with a little bit of actual substance – Copylime being a 1 person Indy developer – and its chalk and cheese.

The Waterbottle test

Putting Markcopy through its paces, I’ve structured a small copywriting test around product sales copy using Markcopy’s Product Description tool.

Steel water bottles have been around for 1/2 a decade or more, selling millions a year – widely popular with both customers and retailers. Retailers have said just about everything there has to say about them, difficult as they are products without very many unique traits or innovations.

Perfect for a writing test!

Test Parameters

Markcopy has been given a product title for a generic steel water bottle along with a list of product features.

With these limited writing prompts – real world use case – MarkCopy is tasked with creating new product copy.

Unfortunately Markcopy is hampered with limiting Product description writing prompts to just 250 characters so I could not use the full writing prompts below.

My conclusion

What can I say.

I love the application and the layout, the speed.

I don’t like the AI implementation – its raison d’etre. I want to look for the positives so give it a try with the generous trial period – and see it the AI copy it produces meets the standards you need before you begin your rewriting/wordsmithing process.
